Prayer for President Obama_March9_2010

Father God,
I thank you for this day.  I lift up and bless your Holy Name. Thank you for your faithfulness.  I thank you that your will will be done in our lives, in this nation, and throughout the world.  I pray Lord that you will remind us that all our achievements are useless unless they are within your perfect will for us.  I lift up President Obama before you this morning.  I pray that you will bless his day, you will direct his thinking, your will protect him from those who wish him harm, and you will give him strength, wisdom, knowledge and ability to lead this nation.  Open his spiritual eyes and let his focus be on you even as he leads. Father I pray that you remove every obstacle that stands in his way of leadership, especially those that are designed to humiliate, embarrass or cause him to loose face.  Frustrate every plan of the enemy and his agents concerning this man that you have chosen to lead this nation.  I command every curse spoken over him to fail, disintegrate and not come to pass.  Scatter every plan of the enemy, his agents, concerning President Obama.  Grant President Obama supernatural insight, knowledge, and wisdom to lead this nation according to your perfect will.  Let him experience your blessing and peace even in the midst of chaos.  May your will for the healthcare  policy be done.  Confound those who consider themselves wise and are motivated by greed and selfishness and expose all who have used deceptive ways to lie and cheat to frustrate the ability of many to get affordable health care.  Expose their ways and expose their lies, Lord that people may see and come to know the truth about those who are motivated to deny care to those who may need it most.  Further expose their plans and let every plan and activity done in darkness come to light that your people may know who is on their side.  Father, I pray for all the leaders in the federal and state governments and ask that you give them wisdom, knowledge and a desire to act with integrity and do that which is right by you and those they represent from their constituencies.  I pray to you God, in the Name of Jesus, Amen.
