Dear Lord Jesus,
I thank You for this day. I pray in Your name this morning, that the will of God our Father, be done this day on earth as it is done in Heaven. Lord as Your word instructs us, I lift up President Obama in Your presence this day. Be with him and bless him. Cause him to prosper in knowledge, in wisdom, and in understanding. Cause him to excel over his peers and triumph over his enemies. Cause those who seek to harm him be dumbfounded by the favor You pour over his life. Make him an instrument in Your hands for Your glory. To do Your will and to fulfill Your will and the plan for his life. Give him peace and rest from his enemies. Lord let him experience Your presence, the presence of Your Holy Spirit, and the presence of Your dear son Jesus Christ. Guide his footsteps and decisions this day. Cause him to remember to seek Your face daily even as he takes on the task of leading this nation. Father grant him favor with all Americans, with all foreign governments, and even in the middle East, with all the people in the countries where Americans are stationed as peace keepers and defenders of human rights. Father, protect those in the military who are daily exposed to danger as they patrol and seek to secure the borders of Iraq, and Afghanistan. Lord grant the military victory and bring them back safely to their loved ones. Father expose to them every plan of the enemy and grant them wisdom to come up with effective counter measures as well as wisdom to deal with the enemy and disarm them.
Lord I pray that Your will in this nation will be done. Lord change all the parameters that need to change in the economy. Change our mindsets that we may believe the impossible and have a godly vision. Father, we are asking for innovative ideas, new technologies and abilities and new ways of doing things that are beneficial to the economy, our health, and the environment. I pray Lord that You will grant us favor to prosper even in this economy as you facilitate economic growth. Lord I call in jobs and innovative ideas from those seeking work and those who have work, that they will dream of new ideas, new ways of doing things and new ways of strengthening this economy. We ask for wisdom to lay down a new foundation that this economy may be able to withstand any future economic shocks without as much havoc.
Thank you Father for all spiritual leaders. We pray Lord that you will empower them to teach your word that many may mature in the word and that we may make a difference where ever you have placed us. Father, that many will know your will. Send forth Your Holy Spirit and transform and re-mold us into Your perfect will.
