Prayer for President Obama, May 13, 2010

Father in the name of Jesus,
I pray this day that Your will be done on earth and in this nation as it is in heaven.  That Your goodness and mercies overcome us this day, that we walk in the path of righteousness.  Lord I repent as an individual for my own sins, for the sins of this nation, and for the sins of all elected and appointed leaders.  Your word says Lord that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  Lord destroy anything that stands between us and our walk with you in Jesus' name.  Father even as Your word compels us to pray for our leaders so we may live peaceful lives, I pray for President Obama this morning.  Lord, cancel every negative word, every curse word, every evil plan designed in the camp of his enemies concerning him.  Lord confound those who hate him with the blessings You continue to bestow upon him.  Cause him to rise to the stature of David, Solomon, Daniel and Joseph.  Lord prepare a table before him in the presence of his enemies. Anoint his head with oil.  Protect him Lord from every plan of the enemy to attack, frustrate, or harm him in any way, shape, or form.  Cause all those who seek to attack him from one direction to flee away from him in seven. Lord surround him with a hedge of fire that his enemies will not be able to breach to harm him.  Father protect him under the shadow of Your wings.  Strengthen his arms and his hands, and his feet Lord, that he may run and not grow weary that he may walk and not faint even in the calling that you have on his life.  Lord give him wisdom above his peers.  Cause him to walk taller than all his peers.  Bless him indeed.  Let all who seek to harm him be confounded and confused.  Cause confusion in ever camp of the enemies of his calling.  Let Your will for his life be done Lord and surround him with men and women after Your own heart, men and women in whom you have imparted your spirit of excellence and righteousness to advise and provide him with godly counsel.

We thank you Lord for every man and women in uniform.  Please protect their lives from their enemies and grant them peace that surpasses all understanding.  Keep them safe from harm's way and cause their enemies to make tactical errors and cause every plan against these men and women to be exposed, to fail, and to be derailed in Jesus' name.

Lord be glorified this day.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen!
