Prayer for President Obama, May 7, 2010

Father in the name of Jesus, I bless Your Holy name this day.  Be exalted, and magnified in our lives, in our thoughts and in our expectations.  I praise Your majesty for You are good and loving. Thanks for grace and favor. Thank You for the gift of life and Your mercy that endures for ever. Thank you for this day that I can approach Your throne of grace to lift up the President of the US to You in prayer.  Lord bless his coming in and his going out. Cause him to rise up and be ahead taller than his peers. Grant him favor with man and angles. Frustrate every plan of the enemy concerning him. Destroy every obstacle designed to frustrate him.  Render useless every weapon that has been constructed against him. Give him wisdom, peace and a connection with all that you bring into contact with him. Cover him with the blood of Your dear son Jesus Christ.  Seal him in the shadow of your wing and grant him success in all the tasks that you have ordained for him to accomplish this day.  Let the nay sayers and those that hate him be silenced by his success and your demonstration of favor over his life.  Cause him to prosper and cause all who attack him to flee in seven directions.

Lord we pray for the next justice for the Supreme Court.  Lord direct President Obama to select a man who is suitable for this office, who has integrity and who has a love for the people and a desire to see just laws practiced in this country.  Lord begin to shine your light over that justice.  Let all recognize that he/she is the one when they get their name nominated.  Lord let your choice be made in  this matter.

Thank you for the upcoming weekend.  We ask that you keep the president and all the elected officials safe.  Keep our troops in the Middle East safe.  Expose every plan of the enemy concerning them or their safety and frustrate every plan of the enemy to bring destruction or loss.  Let Your name be glorified even as we gather together in our places of worship on Sunday to worship and adore Your Holy Name.
In Christ' Mighty Name I pray. Amen!
